Sarah Kennedy Headshot Select.jpg

General Manager Sarah Kennedy is a Boston local, born and raised in Milton, MA. Although her first restaurant job (as a host at a seafood restaurant after college), was taken on a whim, she knew she hit the jackpot by discovering the restaurant industry.

Driven to learn more about the beverage industry in particular, she became a server. To continue to further her knowledge, she then moved into a bartending position. Sarah spent over six years working at the Long Wharf location of Boston-based Legal Seafoods, and cites the group's focus on education as immensely important in helping her build a strong foundation in her knowledge of food and beverage.

Sarah joined the No. 9 Park team in 2015 as a bartender, and was instrumental in growing the beer program to where it is today. Her passion for beer, wine, and spirits, intensified by her time behind the bar at No. 9 Park, helped fuel her steady rise through management. Staying true to Chef Barbara and Cat’s education focused vision for the restaurant, Sarah is dedicated to fostering an environment of intellectual curiosity for both herself and her team members. When she was Service Manager, she contributed her own knowledge to the restaurant's Wine Words, the team's daily wine and beverage education and discussion. She continues to build the program as General Manager and loves sharing her particular passion for Sherry and all things bubbly!

Sarah’s role at No. 9 Park is multi-faceted – in addition to managing the daily front-of-house operations, she oversees staff hiring and training and the educational program encompassing wine, spirits, beer, cheese, and service. As General Manager, Sarah strives to empower her staff with the tools they need to create memorable experiences for each guest. She takes great pride in working behind the scenes to make each dinner service look seamless, considering her staff the real “stars of the show.”

In Sarah’s time with the Barbara Lynch Collective, she feels fortunate to have been able to work with and learn from such talented women in leadership positions, including Bar Director (and former No. 9 Park General Manager) Ashley Guertin, BLC's Director of Service and Hospitality Kerri Foley, Executive Wine Director Cat Silirie, No. 9 Park Chef de Cuisine Heather Neri, and Chef/Owner Barbara Lynch herself.

When not at the restaurant, Sarah loves to travel with her fiancé Arleigh. They got engaged while traveling in the Basque region of Spain, and hope to visit the Norwegian fjords and Egypt next. She also loves trying other area restaurants and has a standing lunch date with her mother every Monday.
